2.    Read the following Article: Goa Working Routine

v  Goa gets up in the morning.

v  She brushes her teeth and eats breakfast.

v  She drives her to her job.

v  She has to attend meetings every day and does a lot of paperwork, she works with computers.

v  She has lunch at 12:30 PM in a Chinese restaurant.

v  Her boss is very exigent she almost does not have time to relax but she likes her job.

v  She has dinner at 6:00 PM.

v  Goa watches TV for one hour.

v  She does her house chores after watching TV and rest a little bit.

v  She goes to bed at 9:30 PM.

v  She reads a story book in bed.

v  Goa turns off the lamp when she feels asleep.

v  She has an alarm clock next to her bed. She never arrives late to work because she is very much punctual.

v  At the end of the week, she takes English lessons on Fridays in the morning she has music and computer lessons in her free time.

 

After reading, let´s suppose you have a job. Prepare a report on Word or Libre Office in which you will describe your working routine. Include what do you before, during and after work.

·  Session #2 Likes and Dislikes

 

1.    Make click on the following link and analyze the information about likes and dislikes when you have a job.

Then, after reading make a top ten list of different jobs and make some flashcards using Libre Office Impress in which you include at least 3 likes and 3 dislikes about those jobs and present to the teacher.

2.    Look the following picture and discover your likes and dislikes about jobs. Read and Cross the ones you dislike according to your preferences.

  4. If you have chosen # 4, 10, 16, 22, 28 – you are mostly interested in history.
  5. If your answers include # 5, 11, 17, 23, 29 – you’d better choose arts as your future profession.
  6. If your choice is # 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 – you are a born teacher and you’ll regret it all your life if you don’t follow your vocation.

Instructions: according to your likes and the proposal of the jobs, analyze the following questions and write about your perfect job.

What kind of job do you want to have? /Why do you want this job? /How much salary can you get from this job? /Do you think this kind of job is easy to do? Why or why not?

Do you anyone with this kind of job? If yes, who? / Is this kind of job dangerous? Why or why not? / What do you need to study to get this job? /Will it be easy to find this kind of job? Why or why not? /Do any of your classmates also want this kind of job? If yes, who?

If you can´t get this job, what other job are you interested in?

 

 

3.   Suppose someone is visiting the capital city in your country on business or as part of a study abroad program, and he or she needs to get from the airport to the downtown area. What public transportation is available? Research online for specific schedules and costs that this person would need to know to make the trip.
